Options for Last Mile Connectivity is being facilitated centrally through the National  Rural Broadband Plan, as far as possible.  DIT had earmarked funds of Rs.330 Cr. for extending connectivity to about 40-50,000 CSCs under Phases 1 and 2 : viz. ADSL Connectivity from 20,000 rural exchanges and Wireless Broadband infrastructure at about 1000 tower locations. Rest of 50-60,000 connections shall be addressed through the USOF driven Rural Broadband initiative.
